Physical examination showed positive Trousseau¢¥s and Chvostek¢¥s sign and laboratory data revealed hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia and high level of immunoreactive PTH, early blurring were noticed on both optic disc margins, bilateral frontal lobes and basal ganglia calcification, which were not visible on plain skull film, were detected by brain CT scan.
Clinical symptoms and signs improved with supplemetary calcium and ergocalciferol therapy.
